Nashavia, affectionately nicknamed, "Shay", was born on September 24, 1990, in Tampa, Florida, to Nathaniel and Lavonia Warthen. Her favorite activities were singing, dancing, and listening to music.

She was preceded in death by her grandfather, Freddy Waiters, Sr.; and grandmother, Cereatha Wiggins.

She leaves precious memories with her parents, Nathaniel, Sr., and Lavonia Warthen; brothers, Nathaniel Warthen, Jr., Naquan Warthen, and Nakoby Warthen; grandmother, Gladys Waiters; grandfather, Napoleon Warthen; aunts, Beverly Boston (Derick), Theresa Middleton (Alston), Sheila Warthen-Jones (Eric), Cheryl Campbell (Wilford), and Lucille Moore (Carl); uncles, Freddy Waiters, Jr., Donald Waiters (Crystal), Clifford Rhett (Shonda), Willie Lee Wiggins, and Roger Wiggins; nephews, Naevion Warthen, Naquan Warthen, Jr., and Seyvn Warthen; a host of cousins; special friends, Levy Bowden, and Leymone Hobby.
