Homegoing services for Mrs. Nell Marie Cook of Tampa, who passed away on Wednesday, October 10, 2012, will be held on Saturday, October 20, 2012, 2:30 p.m. at St. John Progressive Missionary Baptist Church, 2504 Chipco Street, Tampa, Florida, Rev. Bartholomew Banks, pastor with Bishop Titus Deas, Jr., officiating and Bishop Lawrence Livingston, eulogist. Interment will be in Rest Haven Memorial Park Cemetery. Nell Marie Cook was born November 20, 1960 in Jesup, Georgia to Matthew Guyton and Mary Bryant Guyton. She was a member of First Born Church of the Living God. Nell enjoyed computer technology, designing and creating beautiful items. She leaves to cherish fond and loving memories with husband, Larry Cook, Sr.; children, Odessa, Corry and husband Rick, Tangela, Shamelia and Larry Cook, Jr.; grandchildren, Shanell, Cedrick, Tacora Warrick, and Jackie Curry; parents, Matthew and Mary B. Guyton; brothers, Matthew, Bub and wife, Cynthia, Billy, Bobby and Jimmie Guyton all of Jesup, GA, Timmy Guyton and wife, Jannie and Troy Guyton of Nebraska; sisters, Odessa Powell- Hussey and husband, Baraton, Dorothy Sigler and husband, Joe Sigler, Linda Guyton and husband, Clarence Rodgers Guyton, Maxine King and Mary Kay Guyton; aunt, Darius Bryant; uncle, Henry Bryant, special friend, Mother Bradshaw, Sandra Governor, Mary Ann Fredrick; and a host of other relatives and friends. The viewing will be held at Aikens Funeral Home on Friday, October 19th from 5 to 8 p.m. The family will receive friends from 5 to 6 p.m. The family and friends are asked to meet at the church on Saturday for the service.
