Mrs. Nell Cook Peterson was born, February 13, 1956, to the late Ernest Roy Cook and Gay Lee Cook, in Atmore, Alabama. Nell Cook Peterson, a beacon of love and laughter, passed away surrounded by the warmth of her loved ones. Nell, a proud alumna of Florida State University, earned her Bachelor of Science in Statistics before advancing her education at the University of South Florida, where she completed her Master's of Science in accounting. Nell's passion for numbers was matched only by her love for puzzles, a hobby that reflected her methodical and patient nature. She was an avid reader, often found with a newspaper in hand. Her laughter was infectious, and her presence brought joy to every gathering. Above all, Nell was a cherished friend and family member, known for her kindness and loving spirit. Her funny anecdotes and unwavering support will be dearly missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing her. Nell's legacy of warmth and generosity will continue to inspire those she leaves behind.

Nell was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Ronald J. She leaves behind to cherish her memory: children, Jason Roy Peterson (Catherine), Jessica Aretha Peterson (Jayde), Jake Vincent Peterson, and Justin Anthony Peterson (Bethany); grandchildren, Ronan Keane Peterson and Jaxon Henry Peterson; brother, Ernest Roy Cook, Jr.; sisters, Georgia Lathail Cook and Carmon Jewell Cook; aunts, Lois Kemp Durham, Anne Kemp Grant, Dr. Vergia Kemp Blackmon (Edward) and Wanda Cook; uncle, Verbin Kemp (Wilcia); nephews, Derick Taylor, James Faison III, and Jay'den Faison; great-nephews, Demario and Jabari Taylor; niece, Gabrielle Cook; best friend, Evelyn McFadden; godson, Corey J.
