Obituary

Homegoing visitation service for Mr. Norman Lewis of Tampa who passed away Wednesday, December 18, 2013, will be held Saturday, December 28th, 9:00-11:00 a.m. at Aikens Funeral Home. Mr. Lewis was a native of Norfolk, Virginia and a resident of Tampa for 43 years. He attended the public schools of Wilmington, North Carolina. He served in the U.S. Air Force and retired from Westinghouse Electric Company. He enjoyed sports and spending time with his family and friends. He was preceded in death by his mother, Eunice Whitfield and father, John H. Lewis, Sr.; sisters, Jeanette Finlayson and Pauline Hadley; nephew, Willie J. Finlayson and special friend, Rosie Lewis. He leaves to cherish his fond memories with: children, Lesia Lewis McKinney (Tyrone) and Jerry Tyrone Lewis of Jacksonville, FL; grandchildren, Coeletta, Benjamin III, Oneshia and Shaquieal Boderick and Tylanda Lewis; great grandchild, Raquel Taylor; brothers, John H. Lewis, Jr. (Lula) of Tampa and Oliver Lewis (Deanna) of The Woodlands, Texas; nieces, Andrea Telcare, Annette Washington (Tony), Patricia Thompson (Kennard), Joyce Lewis, Houston, TX and Shirley Richardson, Clarksville, TN; nephews, Oliver Lewis, Jr. (Etsuko), Houston, TX, Larry Green (Susan), Johnny Green (Linda), San Antonio, TX, and Kenneth Green (Kaisha); cousins, Irma Taylor of Deltona, FL, Horace McKinney, Atlanta, GA, Ned Roberson (Beulah), Miami, FL, Walter Pryor, Long Island, NY and Dorothy Balau, Brunswick, GA; special friends, Paul Myrick, Everaleen Hough, Ella Evans and Willie C. Robinson; and a host of other relatives and friends.
