Nycole affectionately nicknamed "Nikki" was born on November 3, 1980, in Fayetteville, North Carolina to Wayne F. Mitchell, Sr. and Doretha Mitchell. Nycole was a nursing student at Jersey College School of Nursing. Her favorite hobbies were playing the saxophone and connecting with family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Cornover and Luretha Chambers, Doc Mitchell, and Alice C. Mitchell; cousins, Kirby Cheatum, Keaton Chambers, and Jasmine Chambers; uncle, Tyrone Hill.
