Obie, affectionately nicknamed, "Cowboy" and "Bo Bo", was born on July 5, 1978, in Tampa, Florida, to Obie Anderson Howard, Sr. and Cora L. Hemingway-Howard.

He enjoyed fishing, football, listening to music and Tupac was his favorite artist, fashion, preparing, and eating home-cooked meals. He also enjoyed spending time with his children and family and socializing with his good friends. Obie attended church as a child and was baptized at New Salem P.B. Church. As an adult, he attended Heaven's Gate C.M.E Church, Pastor Linda L. Howard. Obie attended Hillsborough County schools and graduated from Plant High School. He was certified as an apprentice brick mason and foreman of Howard-Mansory Concrete Service for over 20 years. Obie's passion was to be self-made. He was a mobile barber in the local community which at times would provide haircuts and designs for children in need.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Cora L. Hemingway-Howard.

He leaves precious memories with his children, Naesha Howard, DaSembre (Howard) Long, Sr., and three other loving devoted children; grandchild, DaSembre (Howard) Long, Jr.; father, Obie Anderson Howard, Sr.; step-mother, Linda Profitt-Howard; brother, Ricky Williams; sisters, Bernadette V. Howard-Walker and Monique T. Howard; a host of loving aunts and uncles; nephews, Jalen B. Walker, Samuelle J. Walker, and Rhyan J. Anderson; god-mother, Sara Salvage; god-father, Carlton Hooker, Sr.; and a host of other loving relatives and friends.
