Ocell Carr,
Jr.
April 28, 1950 – August 15, 2025
With hearts full of love and sorrow, we announce the passing of Mr. Ocell Carr, Jr., who entered eternal rest on August 15, at the age of 75. Ocell was a beloved son, brother, uncle, and friend. He was born on April 28, 1950. Ocell found joy in fixing on cars, taking long walks, watching old western shows on tv, and having a cold beer every now and then. He was a hardworking man with a tender and caring heart. He was a humble soul that appreciated the simple pleasures that life had to offer. Ocell lived in Milwaukee for many years with family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his father, Ocell Carr, Sr., brother-in-law, Otha, sister, nephew, and niece.
He is survived by his mother, Lovie Carr-Baker (Peoria, Illinois), 2 brothers, Robert (Peoria, Illinois) and Michael Carr (Milwaukee, Wisconsin); 4 sisters, Barbara (Deveer) Lewis of (Peoria, Illinois), Dorothy Carr (Brandon, Florida), Terri Boyd and Wadondra (Duane) Simmons (Peoria, Illinois). Though we grieve deeply and he will be missed, we do not mourn without hope. Ocell has fought the good fight and has finished the course. We take comfort in the promises of God's word "The Lord is my Shepherd; I shall not want…. He restores my soul" Psalm 23:1-3 God shall wipe away all tears, no more sorrow crying and no more pain. Ocell legacy of love and compassion will live on in the hearts of all who knew him. We give thanks for the gift of his life, and we rejoice knowing that he now rest safely in the arms of the Lord Jesus Christ. "To be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord"-2 Corinthians 5:8
