Oease was born on August 19, 1936, in Clayton, Alabama, to Ray and Thelma Farrior.

Oease was a graduate of Barbour County High School in Clayton, AL. She was a member of Springhill M.B. Church, under the leadership of Rev. Eugene Garnett. On Sunday, July 17, 2022, God sent an angel down from heaven to bring Oease home to rest.

She was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Willie Ray Williams, Alice Baykins, Sarah Graddy, and Cedean Farrior.

She leaves precious memories with her husband, Jimmy Lee Jackson; stepchildren, Curtis Jackson (Cheryl), Beverly Young (Tony), Jimmy Jackson, Jr., Brittany Jackson-Marquis, and Tyree Johnson; grandchildren, Fedell Jackson (Jihan), Keshala Young, Porsha Jackson, and Christopher Marquis; sisters, Christine Kyles and Mollie Hicks; sister-in-laws, Mamie Dennis, Bernice McFadden, and Dorothy Graddy; special friend, Lucille Smith; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
