Homegoing services for Mrs. Ollie Virginia Jenkins of Tampa, who passed away on Friday, April 6, 2012, will be held on Saturday, April 14th, 11:00 a.m. at First Union Baptist Church, 3707 E. Chelsea Avenue, with Pastor, B.E. Garmon, Sr., officiating. Interment will be in Rest Haven Memorial Park Cemetery. Ollie was born November 28, 1932 in Quincy, Florida to Ollie Rose George and Cassidy B. George. She attended public schools in Gadsen County. She married Mr. Tom Jenkins, Jr. in 1951 in Quincy, Florida; to this union there were 6 children. Ollie worked as a housekeeper. She joined First Union Baptist Church in 1973. She was preceded in death by her husband, Tom Jenkins, Jr.; son, Timothy Jenkins; grandsons, Leonard Walker, Sr. and Joseph Jenkins and granddaughter, Tammy Jenkins. She leaves to cherish her precious memories; children, Christine Moore (Johnnie), Pecola George, Larry Jenkins (Patricia), Tommy Jenkins (Rosalyn), Betty Williams (John), Vivian Jenkins (Earnest) and Lorenzo Jenkins; grandchildren, Horace Walker, Jr., (Angie), Anthony Walker, Melissa Moore, Rodney Jones (Latasha), Towanda Jenkins, Franshon Williams, Willie B. and Jerod Jenkins (Tamika), Latasha Williams (Michael Wilson), Anika Colleton (Mike), Shavonda and Keith Jenkins, Tamika Everhart (Scooter), Javon Graham (Dee), little Larry, Lorenzo, Jr., Dominique, Timothy, Jr., Tavaris, Kenisha and Shangria Jenkins and Antwon J. Moore; a host of great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren; brother, Jerry Moore; sister, Cherry Shivers (Charlie); sisters-in-law, Mattie Woodard (Charlie) and Geneva Jenkins; niece, Alice Woodard, nephew, Albert Jenkins, Jr.; a host of other nephews, nieces, other relatives and friends; neighbors, Mr. and Mrs. Reese. The viewing will be held at Aikens Funeral Home on Friday, April 13th from 5-8 p.m. The family will receive friends from 7-8 p.m. The family and friends are asked to meet at the church for the service on Saturday.
