Olukayode Michael Adejumo was born on June 3, 1952, in Lagos, Nigeria. Michael completed his formal years of education in Lagos Nigeria relocated to the United States in December 1977 to study for a degree in Business Administration at Georgia State University he graduated in 1981. In 1982 He enrolled at Georgia Tech. He graduated with a Masters' Degree in City Planning. Michael was hired by the City of Tampa in 1985 as an Urban Planner, he worked for the city for 22 years and retired. He was an accomplished artist, real estate broker, and an enrolled tax agent. He was a faithful member of the Bible-Based Fellowship Church of Temple Terrace.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Madam Victoria Odunola Folashade Adesina Adejumo; father, Barrister Moses Adeniji Vincent Adejumo; sister, Victoria Adeyinka nee Adejumo; and brother, Ouwaseyi Adejumo.

Michael leaves to cherish all his special memories a loving wife of 30 years, Linda M. Adejumo; one son, Vincent Adejumo and wife Andrea three daughters Aria, Zuri and Riley, one daughter, Michelle Victory Adejumo; three brothers, Motunrayo Ayobami Adejumo, Oladipo Olukunmi Adejumo, Olugboyega Adejumo, two sisters, Mary Bolanle Adejumo, Tayo Oluwole nee Adejumo; niece, Toyin Adejumo, a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
