Homegoing services for Mrs. Ophelia James Austrie who passed away on Saturday, January 30, 2011, will be held Saturday, February 5th, 10:00 a.m., at Cathedral of Faith 6304 N. 30th Street, with Bishop James Howell, pastor, officiating. Interment will be in Garden of Memories. Ophelia enjoyed painting and art, singing jazz and gospel, traveling, healthy cooking and laughter. Ophelia was born February 10, 1957 in Tampa, Florida. She was preceded in death by her father, Rev. Amos James and brother, Samuel James. She leaves to cherish her memories husband, David L. Austrie; children, Renard K. James, Lisa N. Austrie and Gabriel R. Austrie; grandchildren, Miracle Faithe James, Oceana M. James and Elijah Shalom James; mother, Clara D. James; brothers, Carlton James, Amos James, Solomon James, Emanuel James and Joseph James; sisters, Ada James, Annie James, Sarah Rogers and Clara Daniels; aunts, Mary Lee MacMillian and husband, Willie and Narcissus Doyle- Campbell; a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends. The viewing will be held at Aikens Funeral Home from 5-8 p.m. on Friday. Family will receive friends from 7-8 p.m. Family and friends are asked to meet at the church on Saturday at 9:45 for the service.
