Homegoing services for Mr. Orren Morgan of 9720 Timmons Loop, who passed away on Tuesday, March 8, 2011, will be held on Saturday, March 12, 2011, at 2 p.m. at First Baptist of College Hill, 3838 N. 29th Street, Rev. Dr. Evan Burrows, pastor, officiating. Interment will follow on Monday, March 14th, at Florida National Cemetery, Bushnell, FL. Mr. Orren Morgan was born on April 18, 1920 in Tampa, Florida to the late Charlie and Della Morgan. He was a member of First Baptist Church of College Hill. He served as a Trustee, member of the Security Team and drove the church bus. He made everyone that came in contact with him laugh! He loved to entertain and socialize with family and friends. He leaves to cherish his memories, a devoted wife, Rosa Morgan; children, Calvin Morgan, Sr., Michelle Keels, Walter Keels, Alphonso Morgan, Bernadette Smith and Marcus Morgan; grandchildren, Calvin Morgan, Jr., James Grant, Walter Keels III, Trinity & Jayalen Keels, Ashton, Jy'Den, Adrian, Jasmine and Deon Morgan; a host of many other grandchildren too many to name; six great grandchildren; sister, Beatrice Jones; sister-in-law, Creola Morgan and a host of other relatives and friends. The viewing will be held at Aikens Funeral Home on Friday, March 11th from 5 to 8 p.m. Family and friends are asked to meet at the church at 1:45 p.m. for the service on Saturday.
