Homegoing services for Mr. Oscar Scott, Jr. of Tampa, Florida who passed away on Monday, May 27, 2013, will be held Tuesday, June 4th, 11:00 a.m. at Aikens Funeral Home Chapel, 2708 E. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Blvd., Rev. H.L. Daniels, pastor of New Friendship M.B. Church, officiating. Interment will be in Orange Hill Cemetery. Mr. Oscar Scott was affiliated with St. John's Methodist Church of Eufaula, Alabama. He loved the city of Eufaula and his city loved him. He was preceded in death by his parents, Oscar Scott, Sr. and Josie Collin Scott and sisters, Syavilla and Annnie Laura Scott. He leaves to mourn his passing: loving and devoted companion, Mollie L. Hicks; children, Robert E. Hicks and wife, Theresa and Thelma Clark and husband, Sam; grandchildren, LaTasha Hicks, Lakischa Hicks and husband, Jabari Judge and Whitney Hicks; sisters, Hallie Jones, Sarah Collins and Phena Joe Rumly; devoted friends, Oscar Boxwell, Pam Bailey, Christina Kyles and Oease Jackson; and a host of other relatives and friends. The visitation will be held one hour prior to the service on Tuesday. The friends and family are asked to meet at the Chapel on Tuesday for the service.
