Obituary

A homegoing celebration for Mr. Otis C. Allen, Sr. of Tampa, Florida who passed away on Wednesday, March 1, 2017 will be held Saturday, March 11th, 11:00 a.m. at St. John Progressive M.B. Church, 2504 E. Chipco St., Rev. Dr. Bartholomew Banks, Sr., pastor, officiating. The interment will be in Rest Haven Memorial Park Cemetery. Otis was born March 6, 1934 in Waynesboro, Georgia and a longtime resident of Tampa. He was a member of St. John Progressive M.B. Church, where he served as an usher and was on the mission committee. Otis loved reading his bible and praying for others well-being. He was the patriarch of the Corker Allen family. He was preceded in death by his parents, James, Sr. and Sadie Allen; son, Graddy Allen; daughter, Theresa Knight; brothers, Charles, Billy, Robert and James, Jr. Allen and Elijah Lott. He leaves to cherish his precious memories with his wife, Theresa L. The visitation will be held at Aikens Funeral Home on Friday, March 10th from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. The family will receive friends from 5:00 to 6:00 p.m. The family and friends are asked to meet at the church on Saturday for the service.
