Obituary

Palmer enlisted in the United States Army National Guard on August 28, 1969, and served honorably and proudly. He loved cooking, spending time with his family and of course talking about his days in the military. He was a culinary master on the grill and in the kitchen. His amazing cooking and holiday dinners will be greatly missed. Palmer was a diehard Tampa Bay Buccaneers fan and loved to travel. His favorite international trip was to Germany. Palmer also enjoyed shooting pool and taking care of his new love Rocky, the family dog.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Fred Collins and Viola Bryant.

He leaves to cherish his memories his wife, Mae-Linda Gay-Collins; mother of his children, Gloria Blount; children, Debra Collins, Roy Jackson, Eureka and Rekeif Walton, Nicole Collins, Sharese Allen, Adrian and Monica McFadden, Rosalin and Andrew; goddaughter, Teresa Martin; sister, Anntionette Collins; grandchildren, MarShannon Dorsey, JayLisa Collins-Denson, Martin Denson, Marquise Fowler, LonnQuey Brock, CharlieSa Finley, Roshard Jones, John and Tyreka Threes, Brittany and Derrick Ware, Gregory and Craigory Reeves, Reggie and RayJene Kirkland, Tonisha Melton and Danielle McFadden; aunts, Dorothy Adams and Jacqueline Collins; uncle, Jocephus Collins; nephew, Autrell Smith; cousins, Michaelle Hernandez, Victor and Derek Townsend, Royce, Ronald and Debbie Barber, Tina and Alvet Bryant.
