A homegoing celebration for Mrs. Patricia Audrey Gadson who passed away suddenly on Tuesday, September 26, 2017 while visiting family in Maryland will be held Friday, October 6th, 11:00 a.m. at Forest Hills United Methodist Church, 904 W. Linebaugh Ave., Rev. Tamara Isodore, pastor, officiating. The interment will be in Rest Haven Memorial Park Cemetery. Patricia was born July 31, 1932 in Tampa, Florida to the late Willie and Pearl Lee Gadson. Mrs. Gadson was a loving and devoted mother, kind-hearted and thoughtful to all who knew her. She was also an independent and vibrant woman who loved to exercise, walking, baking, dancing, gardening and teaching children. She also enjoyed conversations, spreading the good news and reading her bible. She attended Forest Hills United Methodist Church. She was preceded in death by her parents and daughter, Sherry D. Brown. She leaves to cherish her precious memories with her children, Gwendolyn F. Gurily, Sarah J. Williams, Suzette W. Williams and Carla Copeland Hunter; grandchildren, Nicholas A. Gadson, Vernon L. Brewer, Jr., Homer Freeman, Ehi Owens, Channing A. Finlayson, Nia W. Kosh and Luisa M. Barnes; great-grandchildren, Nevin Jacob McCree, Malek Freeman, Harmony, Freeman, Nazyrh Freeman and Cameron Freeman; brothers, Herman Gadson and Sonny Gadson; sister, Evelyn Gadson; special cousin, Robin Fitts; and a host of other relatives and friends who will dearly miss her. The viewing will be held one hour prior to the service. The family and friends are asked to meet at the church on Friday for the service.
