Homegoing services for Ms. Clara Patricia Fleming Spann affectionately known to many as "Shann" of Tampa, Florida who passed away on Tuesday, January 14, 2014 will be held Saturday, January 25th, 10:00 a.m. at The Highway Church of the Apostolic Faith, 3218 N. 40th St. Tampa, FL, 33610, Elder Kennard Belle, pastor officiating. Interment will be in Rest Haven Memorial Park Cemetery. Patricia was born on December 1, 1945 in Seffner, Florida. She was preceded in death by parents, Robert and Essie Mae Fleming Johnson and brothers, Robert, Ernest and Allen Fleming. She was educated in the local schools of Hillsborough County. Patricia was employed with Del Monte Foods, Florida Steel and she retired as a health care provider from the Kelton Clinic. She was a faithful member of The Highway Church of the Apostolic Faith until her health began to fail. Patricia served God with commitment and dedication. Survivors include: son, Howard Fleming, Jr., (Dalia); grandchildren, Kamal, Kamarya and Kayron Fleming; sisters, Laura Watman (Peggy) of Tampa, FL, Ruth Harvis (Fred), Lilla Cambridge and Andria Williams, all of Jacksonville, FL; brother, Howard Fleming, Sr., of Tampa, FL; sister-in-law, Daisy Jones; nieces, LaTanya Jackson (William) and Jalana Braddy; nephews, Heath Whitehead, Josiah Williams and Devodrick Harvis; god-daughters, Percilla and Tarah Powell and Tara Jackson; special friends, Bishop Leroy Byrd, Christine Powell, Brother and Sister Rawls, Mr. Randolph, Donna Henry, Gail Hern and Dr. Fernandez. Patricia was not a woman of many words but when she spoke her words were short and to the point. Her life lessons will stay with us and will teach generations to come. She will be remembered for her wisdom and wit. Patricia will be missed by all who knew and loved her. The visitation will be held at Aikens Funeral Home on Friday, January 24th, from 5-8 p.m. The family will receive friends from 6 to7 p.m. The friends and family are asked to meet at the church on Saturday for the service.
