A Homegoing Celebration for Mrs. Patricia Ann Sanders Williams 'Patty' of Tampa, Florida who passed away on Monday, February 24, 2020 will be held Saturday, March 7th, 11:00 a.m. at Brown Memorial COGIC, 2313 E. 27th Ave., Bishop Matthew Williams, pastor; Elder Alvin Wingfield, officiating. The interment will be held in Rest Haven Memorial Park Cemetery. Patricia Ann Sanders Williams was born June 19, 1953 to the late Hezekiah Sanders and Annie Snells. As a youth she held membership at the Sanders Chapel COGIC under the leadership of her father and founder of Sanders Chapel. At the age of 13 she learned how to play the organ at a local church. Transitioning into her adulthood, she joined the then Brown Temple COGIC, under the leadership of Elder W. W. Gilyard, where she played for the youth choir and for the Greater Choir Union #3 in Tampa where she met her husband, Bro. Willie Williams. In 2003, she started playing for the Agape Ministries COGIC under the leadership of Pastor Alvin Wingfield until her demise. She was educated in the school system of Hillsborough County attending Howard W. Blake High School and graduating from Hillsborough High School, she decided to further her education by attending H.C.C. She worked at various daycares in Tampa and later moved to operate school buses for the school system of Hillsborough County and retiring after 14 years. She was preceded in death by her 4 sisters, Kathy, Sandra, Betty and Gail and 1 brother, James Sanders. She leaves to cherish her precious memories with her husband, Elder Willie J. Williams; son, Elex Omar Williams; daughter, Dayna M. Williams; granddaughter, Danae R. Allen; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives and friends that will truly miss her. The visitation will be held at Aikens Funeral Home on Friday, March 6th from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. The family and friends are asked to meet at the church on Saturday for the service.
