Pauline R. Hall was born July 11, 1943, in Morriston, Florida to the late Peter Ransom, Sr. and Carrie Bell Ellis Ransom. Pauline spent her childhood in Odessa, Florida and subsequently moved to Tampa, Florida after graduating from Middleton High School. Pauline Hall was a former member of Saint John Missionary Baptist Church, under the leadership of the late Bishop Eddie Newkirk. Pauline was smart, veracious, and loved to sing. She spent several years singing in a local band, traveling throughout the United States performing as a Tina Turner Act. Pauline was employed with Richard and the late Patricia Benn as a private housekeeper for 40 years. During that time, Pauline enrolled in beauty school, endeavoring to pursue a future career as a cosmetologist. Pauline eventually opened her own beauty salon in West Tampa on Main Street, Paulines Miracle Beauty Salon. Pauline semi-retired and relocated to Pizzazz Beauty Salon, before fully retiring in 2022.
She was preceded in death by her parents, the late Peter Ransom, Sr. and Carrie Ransom; brothers, George Stroud, Sr., Ephraim Ransom and Cleave Ransom; granddaughter, Aaryon Brooke McNeil.
She leaves to cherish her memories: daughter, Sybil Hall (Aaron) McNeil (Montgomery, AL); son, Sylvester Hall (Tampa, FL); grandchildren, Damon Brown Hall (Norfolk, VA), Kiyoshia Hall (Los Angeles, CA), Antonio and Diamenize Hall (Foster, RI), Tia McNeil (Huntsville, AL), Taylor, Symone, and Aaron, Jr. McNeil (Montgomery, AL); great grandchildren, Adriel Edwards (Los Angeles, CA), Jenesis and Jahzara McIntyre (Huntsville, AL); brothers, Alpha Peter (Jaunita) Ransom (Cutler Bay, FL); Jimmy Ransom (Odessa, FL); sisters, Beta Ransom (Tampa, FL), Sophia A. (Al) Kelly (St. Petersburg, FL), Omega (Arnold) Johnson (Miami, FL); and a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives and special friends, Mattie Ford, Rosa Lynn Flemming, Jernice Gandy and Kaye Gordon; and special family pet, Chico.
