Mr. Peter L. Chester III was born July 2, 1940 in Chicago, IL. He was a great man of God from the Southside of Chicago. He was an incredible leader, not of just one family but of two. Peter was kind with few words with big meaning. He graduated from Hyde Park High School, class of 1958. He worked for Budd Automotive Company for over 27 years and retired from Chrysler Automotive Company after many years of service before settling in Tampa, Florida for the past 4 years. He joined Bible Based Fellowship Church in 2012. He was an accomplished musician (percussionist) and played professionally as a young man and for the church in his later years. He also enjoyed singing, as a strong bass in the choir. He was preceded in death by his parents, Peter L. Chester Jr. and Ruth Young-Chester; brothers, Edgar, Samuel and Roderick. He leaves to cherish he precious memories with his wife of 22 years, Carolyn Chester; children, William Chester, Earl Chester and Christine Chester; stepchildren, Ala Stanford and Kamau Stanford; grandchildren, Shanna, Martell, Reggie, Zuri, Soloman, Christopher, Ellison, Langston and Roberson; great grandchild, Luka; sister, Yvonne Brumfield; and a host of other family and friends who will dearly miss him
