A homegoing celebration honoring the life and legacy of Bro. Ponce DeLeon 'PaPa' McNeal, Sr. will be held on Wednesday, November 9th at 12:00 p.m. The services will be at St. John Progressive Missionary Baptist Church, 2504 E. Chipco, Tampa, Florida, Rev. Dr. Bartholomew Banks, Sr., officiating. He transition on October 29, 2016 to be with the Lord. The interment will be in Rest Haven Memorial Park Cemetery. Bro. Ponce McNeal, Sr. was born in Tampa, Florida on July 2, 1949, to the late Allen and Ruby McNeal. He received his education from Hillsborough County Public Schools, graduating from Middleton Senior High School, 'class of 1967'. He was a devoted husband, father, and friend who had a heart of pure gold loved by everyone in the community. He leaves to celebrate his life and lament his passing with his: wife, Rena McNeal; son, Ponce McNeal Jr., (Mieko); daughters, Ruby McNeal and Brandie McNeal; grandchildren, Jelisha, Ponce III, D'Vonte, Donte Sr., and Donthel Jr.; great grandchildren, Derrick, Carmelo, Royal, Donte, Jr, and Jordan; brother, Delatorro McNeal, Sr. (Anna); sister, Limbana McNeal (Andrew); aunts, Carolyn McCall, Florence Jelks, Carolyn Ryals and Jannette Washington; nieces and nephews, Allyna, Dana, Pepe, Robert, Bobby, Micheal, Delatorro II, Isaac, Toarlyn, and Torri; brothers-in-law, Doward McNeil (Parthenia), William McNeil, Jesse McNeil (Brenda), Jerome McNeil (LaTasha); sisters-in-law, Mae McNeal and Annie Williams; special friends, Robert Miller, Sammie Mutcherson, Ernest Chester, Richard Solomon, Al McNair, John Simpson and Diajuana Brown; and a host of other caring family members and devoted friends. The visitation will be held at Aikens Funeral Home Tuesday, November 8, 2016, from 4 to 7 p.m. The family will receive friends from 6-7pm. Family and friends are asked to assemble at St. John Progressive M.B. Church at approximately 11:45 am for the Homegoing Sevice.
