A Homegoing Celebration for Mr. Preston Kearse, Sr. of Tampa, Florida who passed away on, Saturday, November 2, 2019 will be held Saturday, November 16th, 2:30 p.m. at Tampa First Seventh-Day Adventist Church, 822 W. Linebaugh Ave., Pastor Brad Cassell, officiating. The interment will be held in Orange Hill Cemetery. Preston was born November 20, 1960 to the late Eddie Gaskin and Dolly Kearse in Ft. Myers, Florida. He attended Tampa First Seventh-Day Adventist Church. He enjoyed fishing, cooking, gardening and playing with his baby girl 'Tasha' his pet dog. He was preceded in death by his parents. He leaves to cherish his precious memories with his loving wife, Mary Starks Kearse; children, Shannon Fuller of Ft. Myers, Florida, Preston, Jr. (Danielle), Christopher Singletary (Marlana) of Tampa, Florida, Teresa Kearse (Joseph) of Tampa, Florida and Beverly Brooks of Brundidge, Alabama; grandchildren, Nevaeh Crosby, Virgil Thompson, Cor-reanna Burden, Sharahje Fuller, Shalin Fuller and Jordyn Wright; brothers, Eddie, Earl (Barbara), Thorris (Shirley) and Robert Kearse (Gearldine), Charles (Faye), Terry, Ethan and Leon Gaskin; sisters, Doris Wilson (Marcus), Gloria Johnson, Georgia Kearse, Lorraine G. Benton and Barbara G. Jackson; a host of aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews; 4 sister-in-law, Christine Jones (Bennie), Sara Diggs (Melvin), Dean Cowart and Mary Steele (Gilbert) and 1 brother-in-law, Willie 'Pee Wee' Starks; friends, Cory William, Adali Stephens (LA), Ron Beeman (Joyce), Freddie Moss-Solomon (Vicki), Joyce Hemingway, Rev. Cleveland Lane (Dianna) and Trevon Williams (Nakesha); special thanks to the staff at TGH, H. Lee Moffitt Cancer Center, Melech Hospice. The visitation will be held at Aikens Funeral Home on Friday, November 15th from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 7:00 p.m. The family and friends are asked to meet at the church on Saturday for the service.
