Obituary

Homegoing Celebration for Sister Pricsilla Johnson Williams of Tampa, who passed away Sunday, July 19, 2015 will be held Saturday, August 1st 11:00 a.m. at First Union Missionary Baptist Church, 3707 E. Chelsea Street, Rev. B.E. Garmon, Sr., pastor, officiating. The interment will be in Rest Haven Memorial Park Cemetery. Sister Williams was affectionately known as "Silla". She was born in Meigs, Georgia to Cecil Turner and the late Elizabeth Ann Turner. Silla was educated in Mitchell County and relocated to Tampa over 40 years ago. She enjoyed shopping, cooking, spending time with her family and serving the Lord. Sister Williams was baptized at an early age and was an active member of First Union Missionary Baptist Church, where she served faithfully in the choir and culinary ministries until her health declined. She was also a member of the Eastern Star. She was preceded in death by her mother, Elizabeth Ann Turner; daughter, Charmita Renita Williams; sons, Lamar Williams and John Threatts; brother, Austin Simpson; aunts, Lorma Davis and Callie Sue Daniels; uncles, Leroy and Frank Bostick. She leaves a legacy of love behind in the hearts of her devoted children: Robert Lee Williams, Jr., Gregory B. Williams, Lenwood James Williams and Stacy Johnson (Pam); grandchildren, Jarquez Elder, Maurice Williams, Raegan Williams, Kenzie Lamar Sapp, Jr., Nakeda Williams, Marquita Freeman and Justin Stooner; father, Cecil Turner; sisters, Lorma Ann Mickens, Twinkle Ivey, Mattie Turner and Linda Berry; brothers, Odell Johnson (Rosa Lee), Allen Rex Turner, Robert P. Turner (Paula) and Eddie Turner; aunts, Olivia Robinson (Lonnie), Willie Mae Barnes (Ray), Lillian Maddox (Pete), Voncile Scott Evans, Wandell Ridley (James), Betty Bostick, Destine Slaughter (Nathaniel), Mary Francis and Louise Turner; uncles, Lee Earl Bostick (Betty), Chezzie Evans, Jr., William Roy Bostick (Laura), Billy Bostick, Robert Turner, Jr., Oscar Turner, Eugene Turner (Cedar), Lester Arrington and Willie Chealey; special cousin, Lorraine Comer; godchildren, Bruce Brantley, Adrian Cowen, Jimmie Baker, Shantelle McVoy, Shaquila (Shea) McCauley and LCpl Shaquone McCauley (USMC); godparents, Deacon and Sister Reese; special friends, Gwendolyn Bletcher, Angie Mcquay, Antoinee "Toni" Magwood; and a host of other family members and dear friends. The visitation will be held at Aikens Funeral Home on Friday, July 31st, from 5-8 p.m. The family will receive friends from 6-7 p.m. The friends and family are asked to meet at the church on Saturday for the service.
