Obituary

The Celebration of Life for Priscilla Doyle Watson, who passed away November 10, 2014 will be held on Saturday, November 15, 2014 at 2:30 p.m. at St. John Progressive M.B. Church, 2504 East Chipco Avenue, Tampa, FL 33605. Rev. Dr. Bartholomew Banks, Pastor. Internment will be in Garden of memories. Priscilla Doyle Watson was born November 23, 1940 in Tampa, FL. She is the fifth of eleven children born to the union of John Doyle and Dezell Young Doyle. She was educated in Hillsborough County, where she attended St. Benedict The More Catholic School and Booker T. Washington Jr. High School. She is a 1958 graduate of Middleton Sr. High School and continued her education by earning an Associates of Arts Degree in Business from Gibbs Junior College in St. Petersburg, FL. She retired from General Telephone Electronics, INC (GTE) after 25 dedicated years of service. Of which, the last 20 were as a Supervisor. After retiring from GTE, she worked in Auxillary Services for Hillsborough Community College. At an early age Priscilla accepted Christ and was a member of St. John Progressive M.B. Church. She was also a member of the Zeta Amicea Sorority. Her passion for life was expressed often by traveling and surrounding herself with family and friends. Priscilla was preceded in death by her parents; husband: Rudolph Watson; 3 sisters: Etheline Jackson, Joanna Hunter, Ruth Brantley; brother: Barna Doyle, all of Tampa, FL. Survivors to cherish her memories are 3 sons: Wade Watson, Brian Watson (Janeen), Jason Watson (Adanna), all of Tampa FL; 2 sisters: Barbara Franklin and Naomi Jones, both of Tampa, FL; 4 brothers: John Doyle, Jr. (Marlene) of Takoma, WA, Justice Doyle, Titus Doyle, Jairus Doyle, all of Tampa, FL; 6 grandchildren: Tealen Watson, Megan Watson, Janissa Jackson, Bailey Watson, Brixton Watson, Yuriah Watson, Akeymah Watson, all of Tampa FL; 4 aunts: Narcissus Campbell of Burlington Township, NJ, Clara James, Mary Lee McMillan and Jessie Mae Bass, all of Tampa, FL; brothers-in-law: Ray C. Jackson and Phillip Hunter both of Tampa, FL; Special Relatives - cousin: Carolyn Hill and niece: Zenda Brantley, both of Tampa FL. Extended family: Wendy Watson, of Tampa, FL, Gloria Minor of Atlanta, GA, Stacia Brooks, Cynthia Palmer, Tweed land Brooks, Corey Brooks all of Jamaica, West Indies, and a host of other mourning family, and friends. Viewing will be held from 5:00 - 8:00 p.m. on Friday, November 14, 2014 at Aikens Funeral Home, 2708 East Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd, Tampa, FL 33610. The family will receive friends from 6:30 - 7:30 p.m. The family is requesting that friends meet at the church for the Celebration of Life for Priscilla.
