Mr. Waithe affectionately known as "T" was born on the 20th of January in Barbados, West Indies to the late Fredrica Iris Mahone. He was a master painter whose meticulous work adorns many venues today. While in New York, he met and married the love of his life, Barbara Lane, and to this union two children were born, Joycelyn Edwina and Ralph Waithe, Jr. He leaves to cherish fond memories: his wife of 48 years, Barbara Waithe; children, Marcia Austin of New York, Anthony Austin of Barbados, Joycelyn Edwina Waithe of Orlando and Ralph Waithe, Jr. of Tampa; brothers, Roger Mahone and Vernon Mahone of Barbados; sister, Sybil Madeline Durant of Barbados; grandchildren, Cordia Ward, of Barbados, Abdul Austin of New York and Vickie Durant of Barbados; great grandchild, Kilia Jana of Barbados; a host of nieces and nephews in Barbados and England; and a host of other loving relatives and friends. The visitation for Mr. Waithe will be held from 1:00-1:45 p.m. on Saturday and the service will begin at 2:00 p.m.
