Obituary

Homegoing service for Mr. Randall M. Jordan of Tampa, who went to be with the Lord on Sunday, February 15, 2015, at James A. Haley Veterans Hospital, will be held Saturday, February 21, 2015 at 2:00 p.m. at First Baptist Church of College Hill, 3838 N. 29th Street, Tampa, Florida 33610 with Dr. S. Evan Burrows, Senior Pastor, officiating. The interment will follow Monday, February 23rd at Florida National Cemetery in Bushnell, Florida. Mr. Randall Jordan was born in Tampa, Florida on March 6, 1947 to the parents of John Henry Jones and Mildred Jordan. He graduated from Middleton Sr. High School in 1965 and served in the United States Marine Corp. Mr. Jordan was known by many nicknames such as "Rondell, Ron, Randy and "The Great Bonjour". Randall was a loving and devoted husband, father and grandfather. He loved antique cars, basketball and football. He was the business owner of "Jordan Adjusters" and employed by the VA Hospital. Most of all, Randall was a comedian who enjoyed people and life. Mr. Jordan was preceded in death by his parents, John Henry Jones, Mildred and Robert Jordan and sisters, Yolanda Warmack and Geraldine Iverson. Randall leaves to cherish precious memories a devoted wife, Sylvia E. Jordan; daughters, Shanda Cook and husband, Rodney, Lakithia Lawrence and Kimberly Reaves (Dallas, TX); goddaughter, Janiya LeSure; grandchildren, Rodney, Timothy, and Malique Carter, Ashley and Marcus Lawrence; great grandchildren, TJ, Malachi, and Timyjah Carter; devoted son-in-law, Harold Lawrence; sisters, Mattie Shine and Karen Marie Weathers; brothers, Curtis Brown, Rumel Jordan, Robert Jordan, Tony Jordan and Bernard Jordan and wife, Sharon; aunts, Lovie James, Mattie Phillips and Daisy Gaines; uncles, Solomon Jordan and Eddie Jordan and wife, Inez; a host of nieces, nephews and cousins; best friends, George Collier (Riverbank, CA) and Dewey Hamilton; special thanks to Min. Rodney Cook, Jarred LeSure, Dea. Albert Bell, Dea.Willie Doyle and Dea. Harold Simpson. The visitation will be held at First Baptist Church of College Hill from 5 to 8 p.m. The family will be greeted from 6 to 7 p.m. The family and friends are asked to meet at the church on Saturday for the service.
