Raylette was born on January 4, 1978, to Rayland Fairclough and Edith Underwood. Raylette was a mother, daughter, sister, and aunt. The highlights of her life were giving birth to her three children, Elex Jones, Jr., Emonte Jones, and Eshanti Jones. She attended and graduated from Hillsborough High School. She worked various jobs over the years and put them on hold to do what she loved best, doing hair. She was a hairstylist and cosmetologist for more than 20 years.

She was preceded in death by her parents; Edith Underwood and Rayland Fairclough; grandmother, Alice Corbet; grandfather, Willie Corbet; cousins, Shawn Dunbar and Chivarsky Dunbar; and uncle, Major Bloom.

She leaves to cherish memories with her children, Elex, Emonte, and Eshanti; her grandchild, Emoni Jones; her older brothers, Vernon Underwood, and Victor (Sharon) Underwood; sisters, Elizabeth Hitchcock, and Nikki (Billy) Thomas; her closest friends, Zondria Williams Jyneatrice Williams, Taunja Hamilton; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
