Funeral Services for Mr. Raymond Davis, of 4427 Booker T. Drive, who passed away on Thursday, April 2, 2009, will be held Thursday, April 9th, 11:00 a.m., at Aikens Funeral Home Chapel, 2708 E. Dr. MLK Jr. Blvd., with Elder Johnny Graddy, officiating. Interment will follow in Rest Haven Memorial Park Cemetery. Mr. Davis was born July 9, 1937, in Carryville, Florida to the late Clovis and Lela Mae Davis. He was self employed and was the owner and operator of Davis Janitorial Services for 47 years. He was preceded in death by both parents; 2 sisters, Alma Haisley and Doris Goode; 1 brother, Dennis Davis; and 1 grandson, Kevin A. Hayes. He leaves to cherish his loving memories to: his children, Sharon Claridge (Gary), Valarie Hayes (Paul) and Alma Davis-Cogmon; grandchildren, Pamela T. Derr (Ronald), Renita M. Fredricks (Calvin), Patrick T. Davis and Ronald A. Cogmon, III; great-grandchildren, Rondeshia and Rontavia Derr, Calvin, Soraya and Saniya Fredricks, Dedranna and Patience Davis and Jacob Gaines; brother, Earmon Davis; sisters, Royce Cooper and Erie Shackleford; longtime friend, Pete Palori; faithful friends, Viola and Kisha Brooks; and a host of other sorrowing relatives and friends. The remains will repose at Aikens Funeral Home on Wednesday, April 8th, from 4 to 7 p.m. The family will receive friends from 5 to 6 p.m. The funeral cortege will arrange from 3505 River Grove Dr. Friends are asked to assemble at the chapel approximately 10:45 a.m. Thursday for the service.
