A Homegoing celebration for Mrs. Rebecca Gant-Faison of Tampa, Florida who passed away on Saturday, July 1, 2017 will be held Saturday, July 15th, 4:00 p.m. at Mt. Zion Missionary Baptist Church, 2511 E. Columbus Dr., Pastor Larry Roundtree II, officiating. The interment will be in Rest Haven Memorial Park Cemetery. Rebecca was born June 17, 1953 in Walterboro, SC. She was educated in the public school of Hillsborough County. Rebecca departed this earthly life to join her heavenly father. She was preceded in death by her son, Jermaine Faison; parents, William and Retha Gant; sisters, Pearlie Mae Sullivan, Janie Bell Danner and Hattie Mae Williams; niece, Redell Brown and her twin brother, Isaac Gant. She leaves to cherish her precious memories with her son, Jeremiah Faison (Cyteria); granddaughters, Cymiah Faison and Remeka Faison; sister, Ruthie May Bouges of Walterboro, S.C.; brothers, Billie Gant (Minnie) and James Gant (Frances) of Tampa, FL.; nephews, Whiley Bouges, Bernard Harris, James Williams, Jr. (Mary), Vernon Lee Williams, Jerry Gant, Willie Sullivan, Willie Gant, Jimmie Gant, Bobby Walker and Colby Walker; nieces, Susie Jeffery (Andrew), Georgie Cornelius (Cedrick), Brenda Gant and Ginette Simmons (Edward) all of South Carolina, Tonya Gant-Johnson (Antonio), Reatha Walker (Robert), Lue Sennie Williams, Carla Washington (Thomas), Brenda Gant, Annette Walker Johnson (Darryl), Gina Larry (Thomas), Debra Danner, Bridget Carter and Catris Green all of Tampa, FL. The visitation will be held at Aikens Funeral Home on Friday, July 14th from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. The family will receive friends from 5:00 to 6:00 p.m. The family and friends are asked to meet at the church on Saturday for the service.
