Reinaldo Lebron

November 12, 1945 – February 25, 2025
Mr. Reinaldo "Rey" Lebron Lopez was born on November 12, 1945, in Humacao, Puerto Rico. A devoted member of Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church, Rey found joy in singing with the church choir and volunteering at the local food pantry.
His dedication to service extended beyond his faith community into his professional life. As an English teacher, he was honored as "Teacher of the Year" and spent his career guiding and mentoring students. He last taught at North Tampa Alternative School, where he worked with troubled youth, helping them find new paths toward success.
Rey was preceded in death by his brother, Jaime O. Lebron, and his sons, Benjamin Lebron and Ohmar Lebron.
He is survived by his loving and devoted wife, Carmen Lydia Santiago; children, Moises Lebron (Marlen Asteasuainzarra), Josue Lebron (Jacqueline Ortiz), and Verna Liane Lebron (Joselito Gonzalez); cherished grandchildren, Rafael Rojas, Sasha Ortiz, Jocelyn Alvarez, Abdiel Alvarez, John P. Gonzalez, Jayden Gonzalez, Josue Julio Lebron, Jariza Lydia Lebron, and Alexi L. Lebron. Four great-grandchildren; brother, David Lopez (Ana); sisters, Sara Lebron Torres (Ceferino), Gloria Jackson, and Celia Wilson (Whip); nieces, Suzanne Cooks, Demetria Wilson, Lettice Washington, Jezrahiah Lebron, Pamela Vandeare Hamman, Erica Lopez-Dowding, Belinda Lopez, and Jasmin Lopez-Martin; nephews, Robert Lebron, Gilberto Torres, Jr., Noel Torres, Anthony Lopez, Kristian Torres, David Jackson, Jr., Jeremy Wilson, and Michael Wilson. Rey's kindness, compassion, and unwavering dedication to others will be deeply missed by all who knew him. May his memory bring comfort to those he touched throughout his life.
