Renay Arnez
Mclendon
December 3, 1955 – October 26, 2017
The homegoing celebration for Mr. Renay Arnez McLendon of Tampa, will be held on Thursday, November 2, 2017, 6:00 p.m. at Aikens Funeral Home, 2708 E. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Blvd., Rev. Dorothy Ferguson, pastor of Hands of God Ministries, officiating. Renay McLendon was welcomed into the world on Saturday, December 3rd, 1955 then called home to be with his Lord and Savior on Thursday, October 26th, 2017. He was the first child of Rupert GW McLendon Jr. and the late, beautiful Shirley Shaw McLendon. Renay was as clever and intelligent as he was good-humored and kind, always searching for ways to put the needs of others ahead of his own. His tech savvy and musical talents (guitar, keyboard, drums, etc.) were unmatched as was his kindness. An amazing storyteller, his life's story will now be shared. Forever joined with his loving mother and cherished daughter Yhavina, Renay leaves behind his loving wife, Jeffery Ann McLendon; his remarkable daughter, Yelynda Perez; son-in-law, Victor Perez and grandson, Jeremiah; his devoted daughter, Rheah McLendon; extraordinary sons, Jehonathan McLendon and Raymond McLendon (Kelmeca McLendon); his astonishing daughter, Renee Gilliland; son-in-law, Dustyn Gilliland and grandsons, Liam and Elijah McLendon; his deeply loved sister, Sheryll McLendon-Pleas and brother, Rupert GW McLendon III and their dear father, his nephew, Xavier and sweet nieces, Sad and Mya. Additionally, Renay leaves behind his wonderful and endeared aunts, uncles, cousins, and close friends. Renay, the words to express our love for you and gratitude for all you have brought to our lives do not exist. You are incredible. The visitation will be held on Thursday, November 2nd, from 5:00-6:00 p.m. The family and friends are asked to meet at the chapel for the services following the visitation.
