Reno was born June 18, 1949 in Quincy, Florida to the late Jerome Butler, Sr. and Florence Butler. He attended Carter Parramore School in Quincy, Florida and moved to Tampa, Florida in 1968. He worked for Florida Steel Corporation for over 24 years. Mr. Reno Butler had a lifetime passion for fishing and country music. He was preceded in death by his parents, and sister, Altamease Watkins.
