Homegoing Services for Ms. Rhonda A. Wood who passed away on February 11, 2011 will be held Saturday, February 19th, 2:00 p.m., at Aikens Funeral Home Chapel, 2708 E. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Blvd, with a local Minister, officiating. Interment will be in Orange Hill Cemetery. Rhonda was born in Tampa, Florida on November 12, 1969. She was preceded in death by her family members; Clifton Walters, Louise Walters, Joseph W. Franks (Mary Gaye), Rose Wood and Will Holiday. Rhonda enjoyed writing poetry and spending time with friends. She leaves to cherish her memories; parents James E. Ford (Doris Louise Ford) and Robert Wood (Cassie); brother, Johnny J. Simmons, Sr.; sister, Michelle L. Walters; nieces, Ashley N. Sails (Kevin), Saiquan A-C Evans and Vashti A-L Walters; nephews, Johnny J. Simmons, Jr., Johnny J. Simmons, Malik Al-Amin Simmons, Jabril Asad Simmons, Leroy C. Van and Quamaine D. Braxton; cousins Trina (James) Crim of Jacksonville, Joseph Jay Franks, Sr., Marion Jones and James Holiday and a host of other sorrowing relatives and friends. The viewing will be held at Aikens Funeral Home on Friday from 5-8 p.m. Family and friends are asked to meet at the chapel on Saturday at for the service.
