Richard was born on December 13, 1964, to Kenneth and Edna Dixon in Sunnyside, Spanishtown Jamaica. He loved fishing, playing dominos with friends, and traveling both stateside and abroad. He also loved spending time with his family. Richard was a veteran of the U.S. Army. He was preceded in death by his parents, Edna and Kenneth Dixon; grandparents, Harold and Doris Sawyers; uncles, Jean, Norman, and Larry Sawyers; and niece, Princess Hosang. He leaves cherished memories with his wife, Rozail Dixon; his children, Liberty Dixon, Richard Jacob Dixon, Joseph Dixon, Alton Dixon, Sophia Dixon; brothers, Freddy Singh, Michael Dixon, Colin Dixon (Joyce), William Singh, and Evan Singh; sisters, Sonia Singh, Patricia Carithers (Gary), Angela Singh, and Marva Solomone (Barry); aunts, Loretta Hardin (Trevor), Valda Seratan, Gloria Sawyers, and Carol Sawyers; uncles, Bradley Sawyers, and Roy Sawyers (Bethann); cousin, Lloyd Jumpp; and a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins.

The service was streamed live on site in the Chapel of Hope, Aikens Funeral Home.
