Brother Richard Lee Roberts, Jr.

A homegoing celebration for Bro. Richard Lee Roberts, Jr. who passed away on Tuesday, January 22, 2019 will be held Saturday, February 2nd, 2:00 p.m. at The Center for Manifestation, 3102 E. Lake Ave., Apostle Mark T. Jones, pastor; Rev. Beverly Daniels, officiating. The interment will be held in Rest Haven Memorial Park Cemetery. Richard was born May 30, 1988 to Richard and Pamela Roberts. Richard was an Honor Roll student at Tampa Bay Tech. High School, where he graduated at the top of his class. He was in the National Honor Society, an active member of TBT Step Team and the Majestic Praise Gospel Choir. He enjoyed dancing, stepping, singing, playing the cello and going to the movies. He was also a math whiz, foodie and techie. Richard went off to Job Crop, where he received his AA degree in Computer Engineering. He was also a member of the City of Restoration Church, where he danced in the fine Arts Ministry. He was previous employed at SSP America at Tampa International Airport. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Elizabeth Aikens, Levi and Rosette Roberts and aunt, Luella Earl. He leaves to cherish his precious memories with his mother, Pamela Roberts; father, Richard L. Roberts, Sr. (Anita); sisters, Ebony Culver (Larry) and Lanita Roberts; aunts, Sonja Shaw (Anthony), Angela Donnell Hart, Doris Alexander (Alex), Felicia Powell (Jerome), Rosemary Jackson (Herbert) and Gertrude Oliver (Willie); uncles, Anthony Broadnax (Wanda), Willie Roberts, Sr. (Pamela), Levy Roberts (Glory), Freddie Roberts, Sr. (Teresa), Sylvester Roberts and Nathaniel Roberts (Debra); nieces, Amaya Burden, Aurora Culver and Arya Culver; nephew, Malachi Betts; a host of cousins; god-parents, Johnny Wright (Dale), Prentiss Davis (Brenda) and Betty Vidal (Andy); a host of other relatives and friends that will miss him. The visitation will be held at Aikens funeral Home on Friday, February 1st from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. The family will receive friends from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. The family and friends are asked to meet at the church on Saturday for the service.
