Homegoing services for Mr. RL Smith, Jr. of Riverview, who passed away on Thursday, February 16, 2012, will be held on Saturday, February 25th, 2:00 p.m. at Aikens Funeral Home Chapel, 2708 E. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Blvd, with Pastor Eddie Boles, officiating. Interment will be in Orange Hill Cemetery. Mr. RL was born on January 17, 1938 in Waco, Texas and was a resident of Riverview, FL He enjoyed cooking for his grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his father; RL Smith, Sr.; mother, Willie Mae Smith; brothers, Sherman Smith, Frank Smith, Sr., Richard Smith, and George Smith all of Waco, Texas. He leaves to cherish his memories with children; Natasha Queen, Willie Queen (Latonia), Paulette Queen (Ronnie) all of Tampa, Mark Smith, Pamela Smith, Shelia Smith and Vickie Smith, all of Waco, Texas and Terry Smith Nash (David) of Dallas, Texas; grandchildren, Tranesha Henderson, Willie Henderson, DeAndre Queen, Mykayla Queen, Keirria Queen, William J. Queen III, Devonta Brewer, Tequana Daniels, Jasmine Queen, Derontae Bailey, Alyrei Queen, Nakeya Bailey and 19 grandchildren of Waco, Texas, great grandchildren, Chasiti Henderson, Willione Henderson, Alliyeah Henderson, Jaylen Queen and 25 great grandchildren of Waco, Texas; brothers, Joe Smith, Lewis Smith and Billy Smith all of Waco, Texas and Charles Smith of Los Angeles, CA; sisters, Kay Smith Brown, Marilyn Smith Moon, Shirley Smith all of Waco, Texas; special friend, Mary Harrison; and a host of other relatives and special friends. The viewing will be held at Aikens Funeral Home on Friday, February 24th, from 5-8 p.m. The family will receive friends from 6:30 -7:30 p.m. The family and friends are asked to meet at the Chapel for the service on Saturday.
