Homegoing celebration for Mr. Robert C. Burks of Tampa who passed away Monday, April 7, 2014 will be held Saturday, April 12th at 11:00 a.m. at Aikens Funeral Home Chapel, 2708 E. Dr. MLK Jr. Blvd, Rev. Michael Neely, officiating. Interment will be in Orange Hill Cemetery. Mr. Robert C. Burks was born July 19, 1928 in Sylvester, Georgia to the late Nathan Burks and Mattie Bell. He was a member of Mt. Tabor church and enjoyed repairing equiptment. He leaves to cherish his memories with sons, Johnny Lee Burks, Nathan Burks and Robert Burks, Jr.; daughter, Beatrice Burks; 6 grandchildren; brother, Arthur Lee Burks (Betsy); sisters, Dorothy Pattaway (Billy) and Louise Burks; nieces, Gloria McKinnes and Margaret (Greg) Richardson; friends, Dorothy McCaskill, Iris Davis and Ernestine James and a host of other relatives and friends. The visitation will be held at Aikens Funeral Home on Friday, April 11th from 5 to 8 p.m. The family will receive friends from 6 to 7 p.m. The family and friends are asked to meet at the chapel on Saturday for the service.
