Robert Young Jr. was born in Belle Glades, Florida on December 3rd, 1946 to the (late) Effie L. Byrd and the (late) Rev. Robert Young Sr. He moved to Rochester, NY in 1966 where he married LaRue Young in 1967. He leaves to behind to cherish his precious memories son, Robert Young Jr., and daughter, Stephanie Young; 6 grandchildren, Trionna Moore, Samaria Young, Janae Higgin, DeSean Higgin, Kennedy Young, Peyton Young; 2 great-granddaughters, Emerra Moore and Oaklyn Young; sisters, Gloria Ash, Theresa Hammer (deceased) Vanessa Young, Loretta Young (deceased) Norzetta Young and Gail Wilson; brothers, Willie Patmon Jr. and wife Sharon Patmon, George Byrd, Timothy Byrd, Bobby Young (deceased), Mark Young and wife Candy. He also leaves behind to cherish his precious memories a host of cousins, nieces, nephews, and many friends as well as brothers and sisters in the NA community.
