Robin was born in Starke, FL., on January 30,1961 to Robert Mitchell and Helen Mitchell. Robin's spirit and warm heart touched the lives of all who knew her. Her interests were as diverse as her skills, with a particular talent for cooking that brought people together and warmed their souls. Robin's love for playing the lottery was matched only by her love for taking care of her family and the many children she embraced as her own.

Robin was preceded in death by her father, Robert Mitchell; mother, Helen Mitchell; grandparents, Bernice Jackson, William Mitchell, and Nellie Mitchell; great-nephew, Jared Harrell, and several aunts and uncles.
