A Homegoing celebration for Mr. Rodrick Jermaine Nelson-Vickers of Tampa, FL who passed away on Saturday, August 5, 2017, will be held Saturday, August 19th, 2:00 p.m. at Holy Outreach House of Prayer Assembly, Inc., 7935 N. Armenia Ave., Dr. Ala Faye Nelson-Vickers, Pastor, with Pastor Jerome Kite, officiating. The interment will be in Rest Haven Memorial Park Cemetery. Rodrick was born on March 20, 1987 in Tampa, Florida. Rodrick enjoyed singing, dancing and playing dominos. He was preceded in death by parents, Bishop Benjamin Willie Nelson and Lester Vickers; grandparents, Walter Revear, Sr. and Ethelrene York. He leaves to cherish his precious memories with his children, Romaine, Rakaia, Romya, Rodrick, Jermaine, Rayani and Roneisha Nelson and Ro'mani Revear; parents, Dr. Ala Faye Nelson-Vickers (adopted mother), Veronica York and Walter Revear; brothers, Michael and Willie Nelson, Jr. and Craig Nelson; sisters, Nayshmiah Hampton (Robert), Kendra Revear (Calvin Washington) and Sarah Nelson and Iris Flowers; aunts, Darlen and Contrilla York, Mattie and Kendra Revear, Sharon Jones and Neasie Gill; uncles, Jimmy Washington, Benjamin, Tony, Kenny (Tina) and Lee York; nieces, Jamera, Jyimerya, Tatianna, Justice, Janiah, Janetta, Jayshonna, Kianna, Miaree, Myasia, Delgracia, Julia, Li'Queen, Darnisha and Ashiree; nephews, Isean, Sahari, Quinton,Jr., and Michael, Jr.; special friend, Lashawnequa McGhee; best friend, Willie Nelson; special cousin, Arueis Blue; special aunt, Bertha Long; special parent, Rodrick Jones; special friend and cousin, Jeremiah Bivens; special family members, Patricia Russell, Selina Bogan, Latisha and Willisha Nelson and; the Holy Outreach church family. The visitation will be held at Aikens Funeral Home Friday, August 18th from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 7:00 p.m. The family and friends are asked to meet at the church on Saturday for the service.
