Roger was educated in the local schools of Columbus, Georgia. He attended Glory Church of God and a was a plumber for many years. Roger enjoyed fishing and walking. Roger leaves to cherish his memories with his wife, Princess Strowbridge-Malone; his children, Eugene Watts (Carrie), Roger C. Malone, Darryl Williams (Jeveta) and Lionel Hopps (Dede); 3 godchildren, Jaida McTear, Destiny Frazier and Cory Frazier and their mother Nikkre Dozier; a host of great grandchildren; sisters, Bertha Perry of Atlanta, Georgia and Barbara Barnes of Columbus, GA; great uncles, Daniel Kimber and Robert Kimber of Alabama; a host of nieces, nephews and cousins; brothers-in-law, Shedrick Golden, Danny Golden, Christopher Golden and Herbert Golden; sister-in-law, Tricia Golden and Martha Williams. friends, Jim Locklear and Michael Dukes.
