Mr. Ronald E. Black was born on June 23, 1951, in Tampa, FL, to the late Clifford Black and Bloneva Dorsett. He attended public schools in Hillsborough County and was baptized in the Hillsborough River. Ronald was employed by the University of Tampa/ Sodexo for 32 years as a supervisor and received "Employee of the Year" and "Unsung Hero" awards. He was also a mason and served in the United States Navy.

He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Machel McDonald, Christopher Robinson, Clifton Black (Bobby), Bernard Black, and Joseph Black.

He leaves precious memories with his wife, Gladys Black; daughter, Catherine Black; grandson, Justus Smith; stepchildren and grandchildren; sister, Retha Wilson (Albert); in-laws, Gloria Brown, Catherine Crosley (Dennis), Johnnie Brown, Michael Brown (Iona); and a host of nephews, nieces, cousins, and devoted friends.
