Obituary

A homegoing celebration for Deacon Ronald Wilson of Tampa, Florida who passed away on Tuesday, October 17, 2017 will be held Saturday, October 28th, 2:00 p.m. at Revealing Truth Ministries, 5201 N. Armenia Ave., Pastor Bryan Powe, officiating. The interment will be in Florida National Cemetery, Bushnell, Florida. Deacon Ronald Wilson was born in Rhode Island and a resident of Tampa for over 40 years. He was educated in the public schools of Hillsborough County, then went on to serve in the United States Army and was honorably discharged. He was employed with the U.S. Postal Service for 32 years. He was a faithful member of Revealing Truth Ministries, under the leadership of Pastor Bryan Powe. Deacon Ronald was a servant of God, he loved helping others serving faithfully in the Nursing Home Ministry, under the leadership of Ms. Olivia Carmichael Brown; Prison Ministry, under the leadership of Pastor Nathan; Members Care Ministry, under the leadership of Pastor Shellita Austin. Ronald also enjoyed cooking, teaching bible study and serving in his ministries as a powerful man of God he will be missed by all who knew him. He was preceded in death by his father, Wade Wilson, Sr. He leaves to cherish his precious memories as a wonderful father and devoted and faithful husband to his wife of 33 years, Betty Wilson; mother, Annie R. Wilson; children, Ronneka Cobb (Josh), Curtis Glover (Lisa), Ricky Glover, Ethel Stinson (Eric), Rose Stinson, Willie Stinson (Lorri) and Bruce Stinson (LaKisha); grandchildren, Joshua, Jr. and Jordan Cobb, Tytis, Curlissa, Taneisha and Iziah Glover, Myesha and Rose McCary, Demetrius and DeAndre Reddick, Dontavious Fleming, Lineisha Norton, Geomaria Archie, Darrell Jr. and Darrielle Peacock, Dominique, Cierricka, Cymiah, LaDeisha, Jaden J., Angelique, Jeremiah, Quashawn and Tayona Stinson; brothers, Wade Wilson, Jr. (Mattie), Michael Wilson (Cassandra) and Bobby Wilson (Jackie) all of Tampa, FL; sisters, Michelle Wilson of Montgomery, AL and Lavetrice Wilson of Tampa, FL; aunts, Celestine Cookie Jackson (Jerome) of Ashford, AL, Rose Mitcham, Ernestine 'Tina' (Freddie Edmonds), Brenda Faye Rhett-Kelly and Ethel Mae Knight of Washington, D.C.; uncles, Bobby Smith (Virenna) of Ashford, AL and Mickey Smith (Peggy) of Dothan, AL; great-uncles, John Johnson of Fort Lauderdale, FL, Albert Wilson (Retha) of Tampa, FL and Rev. E.D. Glover of Clayton, AL; nieces, Michelle (Steve), LaQuanna, (Calvin), Lateema (Anthony), Chantina and Annie; nephews, Wade Wilson III, Phillip, Kenny, Sr., Bobby Jr., Benjamin Wilson and Joshua; great-nephew, Otis; a host of other relatives and friends. The visitation will be held at Aikens Funeral Home on Friday, October 27th from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. The family and will receive friends from 6:00 to 7:00 p.m. The family and friends are asked to meet at the church on Saturday for the visitation to beginning at 1:30 p.m.
