Homegoing Service for Mr. Ronnie Williams of Tampa who passed away Friday, November 20, 2015, will be held Saturday, November 28th, 2:00 p.m. at St. John Progressive M.B. Church, Rev. Dr. Bartholomew Banks, pastor; Rev. Eric W. Gallman, Sr., pastor of Agape Christian Church, officiating. Ronnie was born August 20, 1947 in Tampa, Florida to the late Lucious Williams and Vera E. Williams Coy. He attended the schools of Hillsborough County and was a veteran of the United States Army. He was a member of Agape Christian Church. He enjoyed playing poker, golf and football. Ronnie was a special delivery messenger for the United States Postal Service for many years before retiring. He was preceded in death by his parents, grandmother, Lillian Jackson Wylie and uncle, John Tyler. He leaves to cherish his memories: a devoted wife, Jeannette (Williams) Williams; children, Louis Cofield, Jr. and Vanessa Yvette Williams; grandchildren, Louis Cofield III, Malachi De'Jon Ellis Hicks, Ra'Vaughn Hosea Micah Hicks and Nehemiah John Gilyard; Christian grandson, Jacob Gallman; cousins, Harold M. Evans, Charlie Thomas, Barbara Jones, James and Twanda Woodall, Melvin and Janice Woodall, Lillie Hudgson, Gregory Woodall, Lional Keith, Marty and Paulette Woodall Rosalyn and Richard Ramsey and Patrick W. Tyler; extended family the Richardson and Lawrence families; lifetime friends, Eddie Douglas, Sr., Randolph Smith and Barbara Mobley; Middleton classmates of 1965, Marina Pilcher, Apolonia Mendoza and John Jackson; pastor and friend, Rev. Eric W. Gallman, Sr.; devoted friends, Sylvia Myrick, Ebba Wilson, Lola Johnson, Anthony and Veronica Mack, Samuel and Marcella Faucette; and a host of other relatives and sorrowing friends and former co-workers. The visitation will be held at Aikens Funeral Home on Friday, November 27th from 5 to 8 p.m. The family and friends are asked to meet the church for the service on Saturday.
