Obituary

Homegoing Celebration for Mr. Roosevelt Badger, who passed away on Friday, December 31, 2010, will be held on Saturday, January 8, 2011, at 11:00 a.m. at Belmont Heights Church of Christ, 5701 N. 30th Street, Tampa, Evangelist Alfred L. Williams, officiating. Interment will be in Orange Hill Cemetery. Mr. Roosevelt Franklin Badger was born in Fairfax, South Carolina, on April 22, 1935 to the parents of Clinton Badger and Estella Johnson Badger. He was preceded in death by his parents; life long companion, Hattie L. Wiley; sisters, Earnestine Graham, Rumell Williams and Queen Esther Emerson. He leaves loving and cherished memories with brother, Freddie Badger; seven sons, Pee Wee Badger, John Wiley, Willie Wiley (Judy), Leonard Jackson, Andrew Jackson, George Jackson and Michael Wiley; two daughters, Thelma Sims (Jay Jones) and Linda Henderson (Roger); grandchildren, Sherry Roberson, Ernest Jackson (Ebony), Tim Jackson and 11 other grandchildren; host of great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and cousins; nephew, Wilbert Williams; special cousins, Alex Williams, Rita and Beverly Robinson and Demond Paisley; his Church family, god daughter, Sylvia Alexander (Lyncoln); and a host of other relatives and friends. The viewing will be held at Aikens Funeral Home on Friday from 5-8 p.m. The family will receive friends from 7-8 p.m. Family and friends are asked to meet at the church at 10:45 a.m. for the service on Saturday.
