Homegoing services for Mr. Roosevelt Brinson of Tampa, who passed away on Monday, September 23, 2013, will be held on Saturday, October 5th, 11:00 a.m. at Word of His Grace Christian Fellowship Church, 2506 S. Parsons Ave, Seffner, FL, Bishop Samuel L. Phillips, Sr., pastor officiating. Interment will be held in Rest Haven Memorial Park Cemetery. Mr. Roosevelt Brinson was born on June 19, 1946 in Waverly, Florida. He was a member of The Word of His Grace Christian Fellowship Church Fellowship, Inc. He enjoyed socializing. Roosevelt was preceded in death by his parents, Jesse Brinson,and Alice Brinson and sister, Barbara Brinson. He leaves to cherish his memories with his brother, Jesse Brinson, Sr. and wife, Altamese; aunt, Betty Manning; uncles, David Parker and Namon Parker; nieces, Jessica Brinson, Vashti Canty, Lafonda Bailey, Gina Roswell, Rhonda Green and husband, Samuel, Jamila Styles and husband, Anthony and Sholonda Cooper and husband, Willie; nephews, Issa Brinson, Olujimi Brinson and wife, Zakia, Stanley Merchant and wife, Terri, Akantunde Brinson and wife, Nametha and Anthony Merchant; cousins, Earnestine Hill, Gerald Parker and Pamala Hightower; and a host of other relatives and friends. The visitation will be held at Aikens Funeral Home on Friday, October 4th, from 5-8 p.m. The friends and family are asked to meet at the church on Saturday for the service.
