Homegoing Service for Mr. Roosevelt Scott, Jr. of Tampa who passed on Wednesday, November 18, 2015, will be held on Saturday, November 28th at 2:00 p.m., New Hope M.B. Church, 3003 E. Ellicott, Rev. Dr. T.W. Jenkins, pastor. The interment will be in Rest Haven Memorial Park Cemetery. Roosevelt, Jr. was born July 18, 1962 in Tampa, Florida to the late Roosevelt Scott and Ethel Hearns Scott. He attended Port Charlotte High School in Punta Gorda, Florida. He was employed at Bugs Exterminators. Roosevelt accepted the Lord at early age. He was a member of New Hope M.B. Church, Rev. T.W. Jenkins, pastor. He was preceded in death by his father, brother, Lionel, first wife, Sonia Green-Scott and daughter, Jalisa Scott. He leaves to cherish his memories with: his son, Roosevelt Scott III; mother, Ethel Hearns-Scott; brother, Jackie Hearns; sister, Valerie Scott Cherry; wife, Tara Harris-Scott; and a host of other relatives and sorrowing friends. The visitation will be held at Aikens Funeral Home on Friday, November 27th from 5 to 8 p.m. The family will receive friends from 6 to 7 p.m. The family and friends are asked to meet at the church for the service on Saturday.
