Obituary

We are honoring the beautiful life of Mrs. Rosa Mae Killings. She was born in Glen St. Mary, Florida, making her final transition home the morning of April 3, 2025. She lived to celebrate her 90 th , birthday where she danced and sang with family. She was a laughing woman! She loved sharing jokes and stories with family. Additionally, she loved helping others. In her younger years, she served as Assistant Pastor under the Senior Pastor Lizzie Kate Joyner. This was also manifested in her choice of careers; nursing for 24 years before an injury on the job. She then concentrated on caring for her family. She has been a member of Love First Christian Center with Senior Pastors, Drs. Jomo and Charmaine Cousins since 2017 and felt at home on day one. The church exemplifies its name, love. When unable to attend physically, she never missed a virtual service, often repeating memorable quips all week!

She was preceded in death by her husband, Walter Raven Killings; her parents, Critchlow and Esther; and siblings, Esther Mae, Ernest, Jerry, and Eugenia. She was survived by her three children, Walter Killings, Caren (Jeff) Jarrett, and Regina Hill; four grandchildren, Tara Jarrett, Brandon Hill, Raven Jarrett, and Jade Jarrett; eight surviving great-grandchildren, Jordan, Jayden, Noah, Logan, Aniyah, Elijah, JaCory, and Josiah; four sisters, Mamie, Eloise, Barbara, and Shirley (Ozzie); brother James; a host of loving cousins, nieces, and nephews.
