Homegoing services for Mrs. Rosalind Loretta Brown who passed away on Thursday, January 6, 2011, will be held on Saturday, January 15, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. at St. John Progressive M.B. Church, 2504 Chipco Street, Pastor, Rev. Bartholomew Banks, officiating. Interment will follow at Rest Haven Memorial Park Cemetery. Mrs. Rosalind Loretta Brown was born on August 12, 1952, in Tampa, Florida. She was a member of St. John Progressive M.B. Church. She enjoyed loving her family and fishing. She was preceded in death by her father, Thomas Wade, Sr. and mother, Katie Mae Wade; sister, Brenda Joyce Wade; aunt, Doris Iona Brown; and great granddaughter, Malayah Wilson. She leaves to cherish her memories, her husband, Willie David Brown, Sr.; children, La-shawn Brown (Joseph Vanterpool), Debora Taylor (husband, Willie Taylor), Willie Brown, Jr. (Lyla Harris), Silvester Brown (Eureka Singletary); grandchildren, Shantikia Douglas, Silniya Brown, Sierra Brown, James Nicholaus, Wilkierra Brown, Willie Brown, III, Antwan Brown, William McAllister, III, Neavaeh Brown, Niaja Brown, LaToya McAllister and Shantwaniqua Milhouse; great grandchild, Zanyah McAllister; brothers, Thomas Everett Wade, Jr. and Thomas Edward Wade; sisters, Cynthia L. Wade and Barnettie J. Wade; uncle, Gene Johnson; nieces, Samantha Thomas, Mellissa Thomas and Sheronda Thomas; nephews, David Gay, Jr., Thomas Wade, Jr., Corey Jones, Torey Askew, Jerres Thomas, Charlie Cedric Edon, Jr., and Derrick Edon; cousins, Charlotte Brown-Hall, Irene Mitchell, Irmetta Mobley, Horace Mitchell, Juanita Williams, Patricia Jones, Freddy Mitchell, Johnny Mitchell, Sue Farmer, Brenda Mitchell, Lillian Mackey, Charles Mackey, Betty Mackey, Oliver Brown, III, Victor Brown, Oliver Small, Judy Smith, Artie Brown, Agnes Small, Rose Small, Vernell Small, Joyce Small-Fletcher, Marvin Johnson, Jr., Taneisha Johnson, Dawn Johnson, Kori Johnson, Gwendolyn Brown, Patricia Ann Brown and Shirley Brown; 8 great nephews and 10 great nieces; special friends, Hilda Daniels and Alberta Showers; and a host of other sorrowing family and friends. The viewing will be held at Aikens Funeral Home on Friday, January 14th from 5-8 p.m. The family will receive friends from 6-7 p.m. Family and friends are asked to meet at the church at 10:45 a.m. for the service on Saturday.
