Rosalind Woodside was born on October 14, 1956, in Orlando, Florida, to loving parents, Alfred Clarke, Sr. and Shirley Hall Clarke. From an early age, Rosalind Diane Woodside was known for her kind spirit, a gentle heart, and an unwavering sense of compassion that touched everyone she encountered along life's journey. Throughout her life, Rosalind embraced each season with strength, grace and purpose. Whether facing challenges or celebrating joyful moments, she remained resilient, hopeful and deeply rooted in love. Rosalind had a natural ability to bring comfort, encouragement and warmth to those around her. Education played an important role in Rosalind's life. She attended Hillsborough Adult Day School, where she developed the values and skills that would guide her personal and professional path. Rosalind later pursued a career at Edwin Vocational School, where she was admired for her dedication, integrity and strong work ethic. Beyond work and responsibilities, Rosalind found joy in life's simple pleasures. She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and gardening, which brought happiness and peace. Time spent with family and friends was especially treasured, creating memories filled with laughter, love and meaningful connection. Above all, Rosalind was a loving wife and devoted to family.
She was preceded in death by her father, Alfred Clarke, Sr.; mother, Shirley Hall Clarke; and brother, Alfred Clarke, Jr.
She leaves cherished memories to her husband, Anthony Woodside, Sr.; daughters, Lauretta Joyner (Ignatius) and Lakisha Joyner Rhodes (Elijah); son, Adrian Ross, sisters; Lesa Wilder (Albert, Sr.) and Terrie Clarke; god sister, Gwendolyn Russ; grandchildren, Erieal, Willie, Alfred (Armani), Julicia, Antonio, Ashlyn and America; great-grandchildren, D'yari, D'khari, Da'lonni and Jahmeir; niece, Jaida; nephew, Albert III; and a host of other nieces and nephews. Rosalind was lovingly remembered by the Woodside, Clarke, Hall, Joyner and McCullough families; along with a host of extended family and dear friends who will forever cherish her memory. Though our hearts are heavy, we celebrate a life beautifully lived. Rosalind legacy of love.
